Horton Hears a Digi-Who

The Charlotte Observer points out that a surprising portion of the rise in electronic book sales are due to digitized children's books. Tech-savvy kids are just as comfortable turning pages on a screen as turning pages of paper.

However, there are always caveats:
There is some evidence younger children learn less when reading books in electronic form. Kathy Hirsh-Pasek, a professor of psychology at Temple University, studied parents who read digital books with their children and found young children don't get meaning from what they're reading when they're distracted by all the bells and whistles of technology.
Has anybody out there in Bloglandia used electronic books with their kids? What do they think? What do you think?
